This is where I’ll spend my first summer in Finland.
To sum up, I moved to Juva in May, and will stay here until the very last days of summer, just before school starts this Fall. Work, live, and enjoy the summer vibe that has long forgotten due to the well-known Finnish winter.
As we had to bring many stuffs to settle down in Juva, my beach Kristiina had saved us by taking everything there, using her car and her time. Thanks beach 😉About accommodation, I got a big apartment for some complicated affairs. Now, I live there with an other friend, and everyday we walk about 2km to workJuva, though being a small town itself, has everything I need: supermarket, secondhand store, library, gym, and especially sport venuesSun starts to shine at 4am and goes down around 11pm everyday – a good sign that summer is finally here, though it’s still very windy if you don’t wear enough clothesNear my home, there is gym. Next to gym is this baseball field. I’ve learnt some basic baseball skills from these friendly local playersNext to baseball field, is soccer field – where most sport activities take place. Here I met good young friends who also enjoy soccerFurther more to the wilderness – Juva has their own lake Jukäjarvi. There is a swimming area here, but it’s yet still too coldTake some time going around, and I’ve met some of the friendliest, open-minded Juva youngsters, who would be willing to accompany with me this summerAnd we’re talking about summer, so don’t forget the sweetness of these ice creams
Well, besides the working life, there is still an amazing life in Juva, filled with ice creams, sports, and amazing people for me to live in. If you happen to visit this town, just give me a call 😉
